Frank's weiner's gone Orange

Whether the hot dog was created in Frankfurt in 1852 or Coburg, Germany in the 1600s it's taken a while to come up with this crazy dog recipe.

Serves 6

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
6 Frankfurters
1 small onion
½ teaspoon Thyme leaves
½ teaspoon Oregano leaves
½ teaspoon Flat Leaf Parsley, chopped
2 teaspoons Frank’s® RedHot® Original
250 ml. Orange Juice
1 tablespoon Orange zest
2 tablespoons Cornflour
1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
2 whole Oranges
Flat Leaf Parsley, for decoration

Prepare orange zest then peel the oranges and divide into segments. Cut each orange segment in half. Slice the frankfurters diagonally and chop the onion.

Heat oil in wok or skillet and add frankfurters, onion, thyme, oregano, parsley and the Franks RedHot sauce. You can always use the Franks RedHot XTRA if you want to go hotter. Once the onions are softened and the frankfurters heated through remove from the pan and keep warm. Add the orange juice and brown sugar to the pan, make the cornflower into a paste with a little cold water and add to the orange juice. Stir until you have a thick sauce. Add the frankfurters back in and the orange segments. Serve and decorate with the flat leaf parsley.
